Chain questions, answered
Choosing your chain
Choosing your chain
I am new to chains. Which one should I get?
Start with a 5mm in the finish you wear most. The Kaiser figaro in silver goes with everything, and a gold Cuban like the Basileus makes more of a statement. Torn? The chain quiz matches you in 30 seconds.
Cuban, figaro or rope: what is the difference?
Cuban is bold and iconic, figaro is the versatile classic, rope is subtle everyday shine. The full breakdown is in our plain-English style guide.
What lengths do chains come in?
55, 60 and 65cm, measured end to end with the clasp. Most men wear 60cm; bigger builds suit 65cm. Between sizes? Size up. Exchanges are free either way.
Can I wear it in the shower and the gym?
Yes. Every chain is waterproof 316L marine-grade steel with 18K PVD on the gold line. Train in it, shower in it, swim in it, never take it off.
How do I layer chains without overdoing it?
Two or three pieces, different widths, at least 5cm apart in length. A thin rope up top and a bolder Cuban lower always works. Full formula in the layering guide.
